NEWS

Recently, we have demonstrated the importance of structural design in performance optimization in the areas of adhesion, sensors, energy conversion, energy storage, composite materials, etc., and extended this concept to more application areas. For more information, please contact Professor Xu Ming.(ORCID: http://orcid.org/0000-0001-5784-2071

The Nanocarbon Group was funded by The Recruitment Program of Global Experts (http://www.1000plan.org/), State Key Laboratory of Materials Processing and Die & Mould Technology, and School of Materials Science and Engineering of Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST) (http://www.hust.edu.cn). The Construction of the Laboratory with the area up to 334 square meters was completed in 2014.

Our group is committed to the structural design of carbon nanomaterials and the research and development of corresponding preparation technologies. Combined with chemical vapor deposition, plasma treatment, dispersion, coating, microstructure treatment and other technologies, we can use 1D and 2D nanomaterials such as carbon nanotubes and graphene as “Building Block”. Different structures are built to optimize the macroscopic properties of their three-dimensional aggregates, resulting in a series of properties unmatched by other traditional materials.
